Is alcohol bad for fat loss? Yes and No

Is there anything better than a ice cold beer on a hot day… probably not. (I wouldn’t pass on a cold beer on a cold day either).

So far this year I’ve lost 23kg (50 pounds), for the first 2 months I give up alcohol and lost 13kg, then I would just enjoy a few beers here and there.

Let me tell you about a rule I follow…

Two beers twice a week, or 3 beers once a week.

Full disclosure, sometimes I break my own rule, if I’m seeing a friend that I haven’t seen in a few months I may have 3–5 (and feel it the next day too), this is a special occasion to me.

Having two beers for me is the perfect amount, this is coming from a guy that would drink 8–10 beers and not remember how he got home.

Two beers is nice, sometimes I will have that third beer because I feel in the mood for it, but it never hits the same spot as the 1st two, so two twice a week suits me perfectly.

So is it good for fat loss? Probably not, but it’s good for the soul.

Anytime I have 5+ beers my appetite kicks in and I want food, not carrots and hummus… like a burger and fries, which aren’t necessarily bad foods, but the calories from the beers and the food is about 2000+ calories, which is what I have daily.
