Effort, Time and Change.

When it comes to achieve our goals we need to understand that we CAN NOT just have the mentality of “If I change everything, everything will change”, that is the quickest way to failure (to much effort at once).

On the opposite end, if you don’t put in enough effort you don’t see any changes.

Let me paint a picture for you if I may…

If you decide to get fit, healthy and lose some weight you might decide to drink 3L of water, workout for 1 hour, go for a 30 minute walk, eat 5 vegetables and take a wide range of supplements.

The mindset being “If I do more I’ll get there quicker”. The chances are you’ll crash and burn after about a week.

High effort, low time.

On the other end of the scale.

If you drank 500mls of water, walked for 10 minutes, ate 1 vegetable and 1 fruit and took a multi vitamin everyday, even for the year, you probably wouldn’t see a difference.

Low effort, high time.

Both of those examples have the same end result, which is not getting a result.

What can you do to? Meet yourself in the middle, or slightly below so it’s not overwhelming and it’s actually doable, then over time you can increase your goals.

2Ls of water, 20 minutes workout, 30 minutes walk, 3 vegetables, 2 fruits, this is doable and won’t make you want to give up as easy.

PS The red line in the image will never be straight, it will go up at a low angle, then be flat and hopefully repeat that over and over, that is what progression looks like
