Who loves coffee!
If you know anything about me its that I love a coffee, a good Colombian coffee, straight black, glass cup (yes I’m a coffee snob, not even sorry).
How many people wake up, get dressed and reach for their caffeine fix just to feel like they can’t function normally… probably a lot, maybe even most people… BUT
What if I told you that you were drinking it wrong?
Wow wow wow!
How the hell do you drink coffee wrong? I pick it up and drink it and hey presto I can tolerate people without having to kill them, it does its job perfectly…
Well, I’m going to bore you a little bit, but way less then I could, I promise!
So here I go… (Big deep breath)
When you wake up your body goes from a sleep state (rest) to awake state (shock) creating a shift in balance in hormones, some go up and some go down.
One, in particular, is cortisol, the stress hormone, it goes UP… Because waking UP is stress, “Oh yes it is!” I hear you say.
Something else that increases cortisol is… Caffeine!
